AAR Orion - Herdsire
DOB 10/16/2000 |
Orion is an absolutely beautiful alpaca whose sire is MA Kencoya and
grandsire is Peruvian Kenamori Gold. He is a white, full Peruvian herdsire with many
ribbons to his credit.
He has a number of offspring and we are very pleased with the fine fiber they have. Two of his offspring who
are now three years old, still have AFD of 19 and 20. We have always seen improvement in fineness over the dam,
as well as improvements in boning and coverage.
Orion is definitely passing on his great qualities - fine fiber and wonderful conformation! And see below what Orion himself did in his Show days!

El Cobre - Herdsire
|
 |
El Cobre -
The Copper One - is a
beautiful, full Peruvian, medium brown, proven herdsire with
dense, crimpy,
lustrous fiber and near-perfect conformation. We proudly co-own him with Maple Hill Farm in Cornish
Maine. 'Coby' has a calm temperament which makes him easy to handle. His head is beautiful, with
large, almost feminine eyes! But he is all male and has had a number of off-spring, including some
ribbon-winners, out and about in New England, ranging in color from white to medium brown. Due to
the gorgeous fiber and wonderful conformation, El Cobre did very well in the show ring.
His awards are:
1st place - Sun
City Sizzle Alpaca Show, El Paso TX, Juvenile Class. At
that same show, he made Reserve Champion!
He was the youngest of 22 alpacas to boot!
1st place -
Eastern States Exposition (Big E) 2004, 2 year old and
older, shorn class.
2nd place - New
England Coastal Classic 2004, 2 year old and older full
fleece class, out of 8 alpacas with Mike Safley as judge.
Coby now lives
here at Foss Mountain Farm and is available for
breeding for a modest service fee of only $1500.
Please contact us to schedule a breeding.
ABRA Jaquara's Samuria
DOB 5/30/2005
|
 |
Sammy is a light
brown herdsire with a stellar pedigree. He is a Royal Fawn grandson and a Hemingway great-grandson,
with fine fiber of 20 microns and staple length of 5 inches. He is dense and crimpy, with a compact frame and
complete coverage. Because he has just started working, we are offering his service for an introductory fee of
only $800. Sammy as a juvenile took a third place ribbon in a class of 14 light brown male juvies at the Great
Western Alpaca Show.
Foss Mtn Telstar
DOB 6/8/2006
|
 |
Telstar is the sweet,
white son of our own herdsire Orion and our
dark
fawn Brown Eyed Girl. He is covered from head to toe
with lustrous, soft white fleece. He has a very calm and friendly personality like his dam, and has
the proud upright stance of his sire. He practically halter trained himself. Once he is shorn, we
will get the stats on his fiber to see if Orion has passed fineness to this son too.

Bad Bad Leroy Brown
DOB 9/2/2006
|
 |
Leroy is the spirited medium brown son of our dark fawn herdsire Peruvian El Cobre
and our dark brown female, Cinnamon Spice. He has loads of gorgeous, silky, crimpy
dense fiber, and good, straight conformation. He got his beautiful head and dense
fiber from his sire and luster and good boning from both dam and sire.
Watch for him in the Fall '07 shows.
Foss Mtn Stagger Lee
DOB 10/16/04
|
 |
Stagger
Lee is a large beige juvenile who is full of personality.
His sire is our own Kaballero's Phoenix and his dam is our
Thunder Rose. Stagger Lee gets his cute head and face from
his sire and his nosey, bold personality from his dam. His
fleece has good staple length and broad crimp, but is
lacking in the necessary density to make him a potential
herdsire. He would be great for a fiber herd or as a
companion animal - with another alpaca, of course.
Foss Mtn The Boss
DOB:
08/27/04
|
 |

The
Boss-man is a fine example of Peruvian genetics. He is the
white son of our own AAR Orion,
who won multiple blue
ribbons during his show career.
The Boss's dam is Caraz, our full-Peruvian Import from
Australia, . The Boss shows great promise and we expect him
to develop even more of his sire's characteristics as he
grows up. This is one fuzzy boy, with plenty of crimp and
staple-length.
PowerPlay's
The Gambler
7/17/2004
|
 |
Gambler
is the white son of DPA Peruvian Powerplay who was
deemed by one judge to be "the finest light fawn
male in the country'. His dam, AAR
Apricot, is one of most dense foundation females and
has passed her sweet, calm personality on to her
son. Gambler has good conformation, a long staple
length and plenty of crimp. As the grandson of
Timoteo and Kenamori Gold, he would bring enviable
genetics to your herd.

Kaballero's
Phoenix
DOB 9/6/2001 |
 |
Phoenix
is an Augusto grandson, with very dense and crimpy white
fiber. He has sheared 10 lbs of fiber in both of the last
two years. His conformation is very good and he has a sweet
disposition. He is also very much a 'lady's man', with a
strong interest in breeding. Phoenix has two crias on the
ground and his most recent, a daughter Chantilly Lace, born
this summer, is gorgeous. She is out of our own half-Accoyo
AAR Apricot and carries a very dense, crimpy light fawn
coat. Phoenix and Apricot did very well with this
offspring.

Seagram's Whiskey
in the Jar
DOB
6/26/2003 |

Whiskey has nice
conformation and soft, beige fiber. He was easily halter
trained and loves to go
for walks to graze on fresh grass. Whiskey has beautiful
fleece and a sweet personality. He would make a great
addition to a fiber herd or as a companion to other alpacas.
