Our breeding
cats are our pets too, and the females have the run of the house
when they are not in heat or raising kittens. Our stud boy has
to be kept separated to assure a good breeding program, but he
does have time each day to run around, safely wearing his 'stud
pants'. He spends the rest of his time in our Family Room, so
is never lonesome. Ragdolls do love their people, even when
they are also focused on 'lookin' for women'.

DELILAH |
(Beechridge Delilah of FossMtn)
Delilah is a very outgoing, sweet and friendly seal
mitted girl who has
been added to our breeding program to bring back some of the old lines we
lost with the retirement of MoonShadow and Breezy. Delilah is actually MoonShadow and JimmyMack's
great grand-daughter! She has returned to her ancestral home, so to speak. Delilah's parents
are both seal mitted, but both parents carry the blue gene, so it is possible Delilah does too.
If so, she and Rusty can produce both blue and seal kittens. If not, Delilah would make only
seal kittens. Time will tell. The two will make all three Ragdoll patterns. We'll try for a
first litter in the Fall. In the meantime, Delilah is having fun being a kitten.

MELODY |
(Ch. RomanticRags Melody of FossMtn)

Melody is
our first lynxpoint! She is a seal lynx colorpoint
who shows the tabby striping on her points, and
faintly on her bodycoat. She is our first departure
from the traditional lines of Ragdolls. After
having tabby cats for many years, I missed the
striped faces! Melody is a sweet, loving girl, who
loves to curl up on the lap and purrs and flops at
the drop of a hat. Bred to Rusty, she will produce
both seal and bluepoint kittens, in bicolor and
colorpoint patterns. Statistically, they should
produce 50% of their kittens with the lynx striping,
but of course, we take whatever comes!
Melody made her Champion title
in her first show with The International Cat Association
(TICA)!'Not a bad feat for a lynx-point!!

Melody also got these two awards for 2005:
Best
Seal Lynx Point Ragdoll of the Year in the Northeast
Region of The International Cat Association (TICA)
Third
Best Seal Lynx Point Ragdoll of the Year in TICA
overall
Thanks, Kathy, for giving me this gorgeous
girl.

Carrie-AnnE |
|
|
(Ch Racin'Rags
Carrie-Anne of FossMtn)
Carrie-Anne
is our bluepoint mitted breeding female, with a little
snippet of a blaze on her
nose.
She is a loving girl who cuddles when she is not busy
hanging out in our outdoor enclosure. (It is her picture on
our home page, among the daisies that grow in the cat pen.)
She is a loving, outgoing fluffball, with perfect markings
and the true Ragdoll disposition. Carrie-Ann's mother is
Atlanta of Racin'Rags who was ninth best cat in C.F.F. for
2002-2003 season and Best Ragdoll in C.F.F. for that same
season. Her sire is Luvadoll Legend, who was the first
mitted Ragdoll to gain the title of Master Grand Champion in
the halls of CFF. Carrie-Anne is a miracle kitten, as only
she and her brother survived a difficult premature birth.
Thanks, Susan, for trusting me with this love-box of a
girl. Her kittens are awesome - outgoing and very loving.
Bred to Rusty, Carrie-Anne produces all bluepoint kittens,
in all three patterns of the traditional Ragdoll.

RUSTY
|
(Ch
Ragalong Rev It Up of FossMtn)
Rusty came to us as a
generous gift from Racin'Rags Cattery. Susan was closing her
cattery and sent this beautiful young boy to us. He is a huge,
blue bicolor, who hails from the Canadian cattery Ragalong. In
keeping with
the car racing theme of Racin'Rags, Rusty's call name is for
Rusty Wallace, the Nascar driver. 'Rev It Up' he certainly
does, whenever he is out and about. He does love the ladies. Rusty was
shown as a kitten by Susan, and we are continuing to show him
off and on. He is very loving
and is a classic head-butter! He shares this trait with our
Blue Moon, who also shares his St Patrick's day birthday. We
took the shared birthday as a good
omen, as Blue Moon was the cat who started us on our Ragdoll
journey. Rusty made Champion title with the Cat Fancier's
Federation (CFF) while he lived with Susan. We've shown him
since and he has also made Champion title with The International
Cat Association (TICA). Way to go, big boy!
