Our breeding cats are our pets too, and the females have the run of the house when they are not in heat or raising kittens. Our stud boy has to be kept separated to assure a good breeding program, but he does have time each day to run around, safely wearing his 'stud pants'. He spends the rest of his time in our Family Room, so is never lonesome. Ragdolls do love their people, even when they are also focused on 'lookin' for women'.
All of our breeder cats have been tested by Washington State University Genetic's Lab for the gene that causes hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) in Ragdolls. All four tested negative.

Marissa (Whimbrel's Marissa of FossMtn)
Marissa is a beautiful girl whose parents originally came from my cattery. I'm getting back some of the lines that were lost through retirements. Her grandparents, JimmyMack and MoonShadow, still live here. Marissa is a seal bicolor who has great eye-color and size. Bred to Rusty, she should produce both mitteds and bicolors in both seal and blue. She has a sweet temperment, so her kittens should be awesome!

Delilah (Beechridge Delilah of FossMtn)
Delilah is a very outgoing, sweet and friendly seal mitted girl who has been added to our breeding program to bring back some of the old lines we lost with the retirement of MoonShadow and JimmyMack. Delilah is actually MoonShadow and JimmyMack's great grand-daughter! She has returned to her ancestral home, so to speak. Delilah's parents are both seal mitted, but both parents carry the blue gene. Based on the fact that Delilah had blue kittens in her first litter, they obviously passed the blue gene to Delilah too. She and Rusty can produce both blue and seal kittens in all three Ragdoll patterns. |

Suzy (Whimbrel's Suzy Q of FossMtn)
Suzy Q is a seal lynx colorpoint, daughter of FossMtn Stitch of Whimbrel, and granddaughter of our own MoonShadow and JimmyMack. She and Marissa are half-sisters and she is an aunt to Delilah. I love those old lines from MoonShadow, JimmyMack and Stitch! Suzy is a true love box who likes to sit in the lap and purrs non-stop. She gets along well with all the others and even tolerates the 'wildwoman' collie, Luna. She is very similar in look to Melody, but has a slightly darker body-coat. Shades of JimmyMack... We expect to get colorpoint and bicolor kittens from her and Rusty and since her sire Stitch is blue, we can expect both blue and seal kittens. Some will also be lynxpoints.

Carrie-Anne (Ch Racin'Rags Carrie-Anne of FossMtn)
Carrie-Anne was our bluepoint mitted breeding female, with a little snippet of a blaze on her nose. She had many beautiful litters for us, but at five years old, it was time for her to retire. She was somewhat intimidated by some of our many other cats, so my decision was to find her a home where she could be an 'only cat'. Out of the blue, a woman named Donna called looking for a kitten, and when she found I was retiring an adult, she asked is she could have Carrie-Anne instead of a kitten. Well! Carrie-Anne is so happy in her new home, and is doing things she never did here, like playing with toys and rolling around on her back. The pictures here are of her in her new home. She didn't miss any of us for more than a minute! Thanks, Donna, for giving Carrie-Anne a home where she is the center of attention and doesn't have to deal with any other cats.

Rusty (Ch Ragalong Rev It Up of FossMtn)
Rusty came to us as a generous gift from Racin'Rags Cattery. Susan was closing her cattery and sent this beautiful young boy to us. He is a huge, blue bicolor, who hails from the Canadian cattery Ragalong. In keeping with the car racing theme of Racin'Rags, Rusty's call name is for Rusty Wallace, the Nascar driver. 'Rev It Up' he certainly does, whenever he is out and about. He does love the ladies. Rusty was shown as a kitten by Susan, and we are continuing to show him off and on. He is very loving and is a classic head-butter! He shares this trait with our Blue Moon, who also shares his St Patrick's day birthday. We took the shared birthday as a good omen, as Blue Moon was the cat who started us on our Ragdoll journey. Rusty made Champion title with the Cat Fancier's Federation (CFF) while he lived with Susan. We've shown him since and he has also made Champion title with The International Cat Association (TICA). Way to go, big boy!
